Various minor tasks for upgrading a joomla installation for a church.
I have started to upgrade a very old joomla v.1 site to v1.7. There is a live current site and a new draft one. You will complete various tasks:
- Upgrade the draft 1.7 installation to latest joomla, 2.5
- You will want to make a copy of the current draft site, especially the customisation work we have already done on the Beez template, before you upgrade. Otherwise our work so far will be lost.
- Finish customising the Beez template to look like the current site.
The current site is here:

draft upgraded site is here (view in Chrome to see correctly):

Tasks included in the template customisation:
1. put banners (we will supply graphics) on each section as a module
2. make it work properly in IE (there is a banner that shows over the menu to be removed
3. change the menu style to look like the current site (Times font on a brown background)
4. create various sub menus as modules in sections of the site, to appear on the left hand column
5. remove white padding border around the template (most visible over the top and sides of the banner
6. Set colours, fonts and sizes of headings to match current site
7. Set other global settings to match current site (e.g.: whether or not the title shows on particular pages)
8. Create extra modules to match current site
9. Recreate homepage and complete content from current site.
10. Recreate private members area permissions from current site.
You do NOT have to put in all the content - the owner of the website will do that. You may have to do a couple of example pages, to show that set up is working correctly.
