Hello, I can help you to solve the issue tomorrow morning.
After logs, seems like the container creation can't find the path.
Are you sure the /vz directory is there and has correct chmod?
I have several servers running OpenVZ.
Also I'm a contributor to Proxmox translation.
If you have any questions dont hesitate to contact me.
Have a good day
