Android PowerPoint Voting

The requirement of this APP is to allow a person looking at a LCD monitor with connected PC to use an Android Tablet to advance a PowerPoint presentation (on the PC) and vote (1-5 stars) on the contents of that presentation. Both the Android Tablet and the PC will be on the same LAN. There will be several pairs of Monitor/Tablet within the LAN. This APP does not need to be listed on the PLAY store. APK Installation will be local. REQUIREMENTS 1. Control a PC running a single PowerPoint file from an Android Tablet. PowerPoint file will be in Show mode. 2. Allow the user to rate the video by clicking 1-5 stars. This rating is to be stored locally on the tablet and remotely via either DropBox or Email. The control of PC only needs to be of the following PowerPoint commands: • Next Slide (SpaceBar /Enter) • Volume Up (Alt+Up) • Volume Down (Alt+Down) CONNECTION Both the PC and Android will be on the same Wired/Wireless Network. Connection can be entry of an IP address into the Android via the APP Setting page. MAIN INTERFACE The main Android page has a Play Button, Volume Control Gear Icon for Settings access and Stars for Rating. • PLAY BUTTON The action of this button is purely advance the remote PowerPoint slide. • VOLUME CONTROL Self-explanatory • STAR RATING The user can click 1-5 stars and the value is stored in a CSV in a DropBox. Each vote will require the following data to be captured: Value (1-5) | Time and Date | Unique Name. Once a vote is placed the stars will display the users vote for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds stars will be hidden until Play button is next pressed. When play is pressed, stars will display ready for next vote.   SETTINGS These setting to be accessed via the APP MANAGEMENT within the Android OS icon. • UNIQUE NAME The is to be able to identify the specific Tablet/PC where the vote was placed • PC IP ADDRESS To facilitate connection between the Tablet and PC • PRESENTATION PATH The path on the PC to allow for starting of the presentation via the Settings page • DROPBOX FOLDER The path to the folder on the tablet where the CSV file will be stored • CLICK TO LAUNCH When clicked this sends a command to the PC to open the PowerPoint file. File will be PPSX as this will automatically open in “SHOW” mode when triggered.
