modata line animation

We need a line animation joining a series of dots in 3d space, to demonstrate our 3d camera alignment process, which combines 3d survey data overlaid on a backplate photograph. The camera will track from a 3/4 perspective view of the backplate photo projected on a vertical flat plane. In front of the plane, a seires of dots will appear and lines will join them and as the camera moves to a front on, full frame view of the photo, all the lines/dots will match specific points in the photo. So you end up with 2d of lines/dots overlayed and aligned to specific surveyed points on the photo. There might be 8-10 points in total, with a few lines joining them (typically they'll overlay on walls, roof lines, manhole covers, street posts etc)
