We have a existing site with 4500 products. We require a new site to be able to handle sub sites from catagorie or brand. We need to be able to handle multiple images up to 7. They should be uploadable from disk or web site and resized to 600x600 pixels max. We should have simple back end which allows both uploading of product with images, apllication of discount codes and linking to other catagories ect. [login to view URL] or other freeware packages is fine the layout should be simple and clean. Graphics to be supplied. The subsite which we have some 200 of should be in same format and allow us to have a template for each site so we can standardise the front page. The payments will be taken online and a PDF will be created automatically to send out to varing suppliers.
It is written in .NET (C# / ASP.NET - .NET version 1.1) and has a SQL Server 2000 database that we would like to keep in its existing schema. We need to replicate as much of the existing functionality it has currently but we have a very tight time scale (6 to 8 weeks) in which to achieve this.
The site needs the following features:
- Full catalogue browse, search and category view
Peripheral pages with details of delivery policy, returns policy etc.
- Buy button with a link through to a secure shopping cart facility
- Multi-step ordering process allowing users to register and save billing and delivery addresses
- Secure order management / admin system to track and set status of orders
- Ability to set tax codes and discounts on individial items
_ ability to opt out of mailing in the log on. Full mailing capabilities.
We have several years' worth of items, associated data and historic orders that we need to keep,
- Transition to full online eCommerce payment system (currently it sends an order by email and the transaction is completed manually)
- Seamless integration with the existing or new eCommerce online transaction system
