Wordpress plugin for activity posting

We are looking for somebody to develop a plugin for our existing Wordpress / Buddypress website. The overall functionality required is an expansion of the BuddyPress activity update function. We require users to be able to submit extra data when completing an activity update. The additional data fields required are: an activity title, a category for the activity, an associated image, and a BuddyPress group for the activity post to go into. The plugin should also allow the post to be added to the user’s BuddyPress favourites list, if the user wishes. When entering data into the activity title field, an AJAX autocomplete-type mechanism will try and request information from an API. The API takes the activity title field and provides data which fills-in the main activity update box (existing BP "What's new" field). The API can also supply an image to associate with the activity post. If the API returns an empty result, the user can upload an image from their computer and type in their own text into the activity update box. Details of the API supplying this data will be provided. The plugin will comprise a compelling jQuery form for collection of the data with UI designs made available by us as necessary. ## Deliverables Activity posts will have a title. Entering certain information will prompt an autocomplete query populating the main activity update field and the image field. The existing activity field (i.e. BP “What’s new box??) can be used as the main activity field. Users will be able to categorise activity posts. Categories will be selected using radio button type functionality. The radio buttons should appear as labelled toggle buttons (such as provided in jQueryUI). The list of categories will be provided. Users may choose which groups a new activity post is shared with. This is essentially checkbox-type functionality instead of the existing combo box found in BuddyPress. jQueryUI or similar should be used to provide an interface that works in a similar way to a tagging system [login to view URL]://[login to view URL] Users should be able to upload a picture if to activity post none is found using the autocomplete. This should be with an AJAX image uploader. It is anticipated that the additional activity data can be easily be stored in the wp_bp_activity_meta table and accessed/updated using existing BP function calls. When installed and activated the plugin should register on the main homepage and group pages in place of the original “What’s new?? activity update box.
