IT PM Software Development (with PHP, mySQL, jQuery, CSS/HTML5 - 2 hours per day

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager with experience in Software Development (with PHP, mySQL, jQuery, CSS/HTML5 , Twitterbootstrap skills) that's happy to get hands on where required in return for an opportunity that will test you strategically and grow you as a leader. We have a small development team (of 2) with a big focus on end-user UI/UX and removing barriers of entry. We estimate this work will take approx 2 hours per day. The role is a combination of project management, product development, internal and external collaboration, business needs analysis and where an extra pair of hands is required; coding to solve more complex and/or urgent tasks. You'll work closely with the wider team on defining product improvements, making strategic decisions on priorities and technology choices, defining project scopes and plans and importantly executing those plans in an agile manner. You'll be supported with external resources when they're required or can be used to improve efficiencies without exposing us to technology or service risk. Responsibilities: - Project Management and execution (project planning for execution of functionality improvements, managing internal and external development resources, contributing to coding to execute projects, agile updates and internal collaboration) - Product Development (including engaging stakeholders about ideas, collaborating with users on functionality improvements, developing strategies for executing improvements, estimating costs/time and engaging leadership around selection, prioritization of tasks) - Researching development options (internally researching and recommending options including in-sourcing and out-sourcing, working with other team members to assess the value of improvement options being considered) - Integration (data from legacy systems into current database, integrating other third-party systems or plugins into our new system) - User experience (working with the team, provide input, direction and ideas on how to improve or better design the experience of everything we currently deliver and everything new that we build) - Overall technology platform management (including managing support, ongoing maintenance, responding to failures, redundancy strategy review, azure relationship management etc) - Documentation for external coders/ UX dev - the project must be able to be picked up by another person at any point Skills: - Good knowledge of PHP, mySQL, CSS/HTML5 and jQuery - Good understanding and ability to code in either PHP, jQuery or CSS/HTML5 to assist our team in urgent matters - Definition and documentation of product requirements to be clear about what you want to be accomplished (illustrations & text) - Spatial, logical and temporal visualisation to get inside the head of end users and create a good experience - Project management skills to make sure each task is completed in a timely manner and you are tracking all the deliverables - An understanding of customer journey and desire to collaborate with the rest of the team to build technology our users value - A good understanding of online / web technology, CMS and functionality including front end / user interfaces - A good track record in building complex products as well as business analysis skills - Excellent communication and influencing skills to be able to manage senior stakeholders passionate about performance - Direct, crisp and clear communication - explaining complex programming/structural solutions, and knowledge of (basic) pseudocode and experience utilising it to explain logic to less programming-savvy team members. - A wide and business appreciation of the integration required with complex back office systems such as CRM, Finance or similar - Strong problem solving experience with the ability to articulate complex solutions effectively
