I have just started a wholesale business selling tissue papers to retailers. I have purchased a Symbol brand Palm III device with a built-in barcode scanner onboard. I have been using Quickbooks for accounting purpose. Originally I was to use it for my inventory keeping for the new business. Unfortunately, Quickbooks doesn't support "Component accounting" i.e say the carrier tissue needs the PVC skin, paper and a piece of paper, Quickbooks cannot keep inventory of these components; when I sell say one unit of tissue, Quickbook does not have the feature to deduct the skin, paper and paper accordingly, if u can understand what I mean. Anyway, I have decided to switch to MYOB whcih offer this feature. The good thing about Quickbooks is that there are programs such as MobileInventory by Wasp ([login to view URL]) that are written specifically to use Symbol SPT 1500 series device ([login to view URL]) to keep inventory and can import the data directly into Quickbooks. There is no such program for MYOB. I am wondering if anybody can help by designing a very simple conduit that will port all the inventory data, such as the item's barcode, the quantity in's and out's, transaction date, salesperon code and other informations (to be discussed) directly into MYOB fields to save me from doing the inventory count manually and then key in the numbers into MYOB. As I am just starting my business and honestly cannot afford much so if the project is feasible, please give me your best quote ASAP. Tks.
