Create a tree view plugin

THE PROBLEM I AM TRYING TO SOLVE ====================================== I need a tree view similar to the "CMS Page Tree" or the "Nice-navigation" tree plugin to use on the front end of a wordpress site. The tree must work with custom post types. I am using CMS plugin to create various custom types I like the "CMS Page Tree" plugin but it only works on the backend The "Nice-navigation" tree plugin works on the front end but only does pages - not custom type and doesn't have an actions menu So ideally I need a front end version of "CMS Page Tree" plugin MY REQUIREMENTS : #Given a post_type as an argument be able to build a tree like "CMS Page Tree plugin" OR "Nice-navigation" PLUGINS #Show only published content not drafts #Expand on click of icon - not of text #Links to custom post type url on click of text #On hover over a popup will appear similar to "CMS Page Tree plugin" see image attached -Name -Edit -View -Add after -Add as child -Delete #DRAG AND DROP - A User should be able to drag and drop similar to "CMS Page Tree" plugin to adjust order #A small tool bar -Option to show or hide -Toolbar Icons --Expand --Collapse #Tree item icons -Expand + document icons - if has children -document icon - if no children #On delete If haschildren -show dialog "This record has children you cannot delete this record" else -get confirmation "Are you sure you want to delete this record" #WIDGET AREA FORM -Customisable Title e.g. "Policies" defaulting to custom post type name (hide title if empty) -option list of post_types to choose from -Show/hide toolbar checkbox #Theme considerations -Must adapt to current theme -No background (uses page background) Appearance -Must appear in widgets page so the widget can be placed in various locations # Please note: only logged in authors should be able to edit items in the tree
