Equipment Maintenance System with PHP and MySQL

Technology: PHP MySQL Security: All code must be secure and free from SQL-injection type attacks or query string/form alteration. All user entered values should be validated to prevent errors. Description: A basic web-based system for tracking equipment maintenance. Setup Overview: Category Sub Category Equipment Categories and Subcategories can be added/removed/edited. Tasks: Each piece of equipment should have a task list, where tasks can be added for work that has been done, or work that will need to be done in the future. Task Type: ability to add/edit/remove task types. Each task should have: automatically assigned id number task name task description date entered (should pre-fill with the current date) date of work date completed task type (picked from list) comments vendor (picked from list) username of person who entered task This task list should be exportable to a text file format, that can be read by excel or a database Each piece of equipment can be tied to 1 or more vendors, vendors can be tied to more than one piece of equipment. When drilling down to view the equipment,[Category -> Subcategory -> Equipment name] it should show the equipment details with the "tasks" beneath it, which can be sorted by name/description/task type/task date entered/task date due. Clicking on the task will then show the full details of the task. Vendor Section: A method for managing all vendors that maintain the equipment or supply parts for equipment automatically assigned id number vendor name address telephone contact name web site date last updated Users: Would like 2 levels of user, the admin user has full rights to everything. The regular user has only read-only rights to all data, except for the ability to add tasks. (not edit tasks) Finished product will be sole ownership of buyer, with full rights. Prefer code to be as close to valid HTML as possible. Code should be very well commented.
