Wordpress: Make Category Page look like Home page

I need the category page of [login to view URL] to look like the home page with the following exception: The home page pulls the 'Featured Listing' (top one) and then the most recent posts of specific categories (bottom). I need the category page to list all excerpts of posts in their respective categories with thumbnail images instead of the larger pictures using the current CSS (the title on green area and content on grey area). I'd like to last post made to be on top of the first category page. Incidentally, there may need to be several pages to contain all the excerpts in their category. The per-page limit should be ten. So, the 11th excerpt would require a second page, and so on. Since I need to upload 300+ articles, I will need to know if there are and special instructions in doing so with regards to this modification.
