IP Reputation AWS Lambda/Chalice

We would like to build an API using AWS Lambda that we’ll use to get public information about IP addresses. This is information like the security reputation, whois, geolocation, screenshots etc… Because our application may make multiple calls for the same IP or domain, we would like the information to only be updated if it’s older than a certain amount of time. The cached information will be stored on AWS s3. The Chalice library should be used for creating and deploying the application. The functions below involve calling other APIs and they are popular enough that existing libraries should be available for all of them. This task involves: • Configuring the libraries or api calls • Storing and retrieving the data • Handling errors and returning appropriate response • Creating tests with pytests to verify functionality API Gateway Lambda Functions (only GET is required) • Request whois information from jsonwhois api • Request report from virustotal for IP or domain • Request report from [login to view URL] • Download blocklist from neutrino api and check IP against blocklist • Request geoip from [login to view URL] • Request report from [login to view URL] • Query whoisxmlapi for domains on ip address (reverse • Generate report for IP address or domain with information from above functions • Request screenshot for ip/port or domain/port with [login to view URL] The deliverable for this library would be the completed AWS lambda function in chalice and the pytests that verify the functionality. Additionally, our code is evaluated with pylint and the code should pass.
