I have read your project info...and looked over the files that you attach, you have an interesting project and I like the idea of a long term collaboration. So basically you need exact 3d models of parts, in this case a wheel so you can send it to prototyping and 3d printing, is that correct? I would like to talk to you about your project if possible. I am Irish, who is living in Philippines I have a lot of experience in structural & mechanical design and fabrication. I am capable of using packages such as , Inventor, 3Dmax, Navisworks, Solidworks, Revit and AutoCAD. Hello AJ, I've taken a look at your images and I'm happy to say I can help you out. I'm an Industrial Designer with experience working for Ford and Holden so I have made many many wheels before. I have also designed a few wheels. I also have alot of prototyping experience spending hundreds of hours working with 3D printers. I've bid $24 per hour but depending on the complexity of a wheels it would take 1 to 4 hours, for example the wheels on the mini would take 1-2 hours. The more complex spoked wheels on the other cars would take 4 hours and would be ready for prototyping when I'm finished with them. I think that its a good piece for CAD CAM Rhino o NURB modelling it be ready to 3D print and manufacturing. Will make the degree surface 3, like the real automotive factory(tangency and curvature complex). I Have experience to do that, take a look my portfolio and then you can see the quality of my work. Hello, i am very interested in this project as i have a vast knowledge of nitro r/c cars, been racing a serpent 835 i also have knowledge of 3D printing. I can produce 3D models of the r/c wheels in SolidWorks and export them in stl. format ready for 3D printing. Please consider me for this role as i have a real interest in what you are doing. Hi there. This is my first offer on Freelancer.com, so I hope I did no mistakes... I'm an experienced industrial designer and 3d modeller. The modeling of the wheel would be done in Autodesk Alias Automotive, mainly. I would use SolidWorks for some details and to convert surfaces to solids. I can guarantee a high quality 3d model (class-A surfacing) ready to be produced, for both prototyping and molding. The model can be delivered in any 3d format (IGES, STEP or whatever). Hi quality renderings could be provided as well, if needed. There's one thing in the project description I'm not sure I understood: do I have to start from sratch or is this wheel an existing model to be modified to be bigger? Will you provide the original 3d model to be modified? My quote is based on a wheel modeled from scratch (sketches, dimensions and/or references should be provided), so it would take less time to re-model an existing wheel with different dimension. Hi, well I will just make you know why I'm the best option for you: First becouse I'm a lover of R/C cars. Second couse I have lots of experience related with motorsports, like a designer, or improver... also with plastic parts, so I recommed you the injection plastic moulding method instead of cnc machining. Resulting parts will be cheaper if you have plans to fabricate in serial. Third: There are some iimportant things that you must take care when design a plastic part for injection moulding, like be thinking on the fabrication method, if not you can design a part impossible to fabricate. I allways look for the better performance. Fourth: If you tell me about what kind of plastic will you use for that, I can use the finite element analisys once the 3D model is done. Then I can get a better resistant wheel design, or lighter one, or the combination of both. If you don't know it exactly also I can help you to choice. Hope we'll work together on that project.
