This project is to provide a 3D model for a conceptual design. The bidder will be provided with explanations on the design and should be able to convert that into a 3D model ready for prototype. The object to design is the body of an electric powerpoint. The successful bidder will be provided with a number of photos from various items (generally irrelevant to a powerpoint) to be able to picture the concept that I have in mind. Effective communication is definitely required and the successful bidder is responsible to provide a realistic timeframe for each [login to view URL] first stage is to design the outer body of the plug (Housing), then the inside space to accommodate the circuit board and other items in that housing with required fixing. As mentioned before, the design should be able to go for production. At this stage I am thinking of Silicon Vacuum Casting for building the prototype. The preferred software package for this job is Solidworks but the bidder can choose to work on a similar package as long as the final files are provided in “.stp” or “igs”. At the end of project, when the design is finalised, the bidder should provide all the output files in the requested format as well as up to 4 pdf sheets (A3) including the final design with all the dimensions and details.
