Experienced and Passionate Leaflet/Open Layers Programmer for Cartography Project:

Hi! We are looking for an experienced and passionate Open Layers or Leaflet developer for a digital cartography project. This opportunity is a chance for the right person to create their own role in an exciting and innovative project. All applicants are invited to be themselves in their proposal, as finding the right personal fit is just as important as technical knowhow. The work will be a weekly part time commitment, but the project will run for a longer period. The position will allow you to be involved from the ground up in the planning, design, and implementation of the animation, user interface, mapping environments, and web design of the project. Your experience should include: - Leaflet or Open Layers, Javascript, and Web/Mobile Web Development. - Geoservers & PostGre. - Front End Website Development. - Adobe Creative Cloud Experience would be a plus. We are looking for someone who: - Enjoys speaking their mind and is not afraid to speak the truth, and when necessary, to say no. Is a pragmatic, logical, and critical thinker. - Takes pride in their ability to finish things. - Loves to take initiative and innovate, and is looking for a place to bring some of their own ideas to life. - Works best independently, likes responsibility, places the project first, and knows how to find the right balance between getting things done and being creative. - Interested in Russian Literature (is not required, but will increase your enjoyment of the project immensely if you are willing to get into it :), and beautiful maps.
