We have integrated an HEVC encoder (Vanguard) in a gstreamer plugin. On a hardware level we are using a Blackmagic decklink card (Intensity pro) which has v4l2 support. However, there appear to be frame drops between the deckling source and HEVC encoder. Secondly, the entire pipeline need some polishing. On the receiving end we also need a more robust solution for decoding and recoding to h264. Lastly, we have a PHP web interface that needs to be ported (Laravel based) to this product as well.
