Hi I need a solution to draft on how we can have a cloud azure based solution with out onpremise servers. basically my client doesnt want any physical server and using all workgroup computers which we want to move into AD in cloud with GPO and device management. Also initially we want a solution like script that can run on all workgroup PC and gather the information such as hardware, software it has and network settings of each PC in excel format.
We are looking for someone to help us build a Domain Controller with Active Directory & DNS on AWS / Google Cloud. Users who are connected to the internet (regardless of their country or locality) should be able to connect to the Domain Controller without having the need to establish a VPN session. We would want to be able to modify GPO on the Domain Controller.

The laptops do get change when a new employee joins so I want to simplify the whole process by loading win image with preloaded software. This image needs to be deployed on user laptops. I have a situation where I want a serial bar code reader to send a string to a remote server using a REST request. If the return value is true then Signal a GPO pin to go high. I have a client with two Windows Server 2012 R2 servers that make up the domain. Both servers are AD, DNS, and DHCP. We had issues with network drives dropping out so I added a secondary (virtual) domain controller, migrated the ISCI attachment and went through GPO to change where the mapped drive resides. This was fine, until I setup GPO for folder redirection.
