We haven't made any recent changes or updates to it, but specific error messages are being displayed when this issue occurs. We've disabled all plugins and switched to the basic Storefront theme but the error still persists. On our wholesale site the WC Checkout works fine, on our retail site something is getting blocked when the user clicks "place order" and the page just spins.
