Hardware Implementation of Security Algorithms using AES (128) Firmware Team Embedded C programming The advanced encryption standard specifies a FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards publications) approved cryptographic algorithm that can be used to protect electronic data. The AES algorithm is asymmetric block cipher that can encrypt and decrypt information. The AES algorithm is capable of using cryptographic keys of 128, 192 and 256 bits to encrypt and decrypt data. ii. The data was acquired using SPI protocol with time stamp using I2C protocol and all the records were stored into a Personal Computer using UART communication.
