RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS METHODOLOGIES

I am doing a thesis and the topic is Post Migration Experiences of Zimbabwean women in Tembisa South Africa. I have done part of the thesis which is chapter one and two now left with chapter 3 and four to complete it. The outline of Chapter 3 and 4 as below. Chapter 3 METHODOLOGY 3.1 - Introduction - INTrODUCE THE CHAPTER briefly 3.2- Research Design - 1st paragraph of this topic I would like to use a case study as a research design.. bascially define what a case study is and give three diff sources. then answer why use a case study by giving advantages and disadvantages of a case study. 2nd paragraph also go on to mention that gender studies usually require qulaitativ e research design but u can either use both paradigms. define qulaitative research giving advantages and disadvantages linking to the study 3.3- Population and Sample- What is population? which population are u selecting? in this case is Zim women in thembisa. what is sampling? 3.4- Sampling Procedure- how u choose the sample which procedure whether random, convenient or quasi sample. define it give adv and disadvantages 3.5- Research Instruments- qualitative -interviews, define, discuss them. separated or closed. how many interviews did u do. why use that research instrument mention its strength and weaknesses 3.6 data Collection procedures- what did you do? challenges faced when collecting data, where u using notes or recorder and why wr u using that 3.7- data presentation and analysis procedures Summary Chapter 4 Presentation and Discussion 4.1- Introduction 4.2-Data Presentation Process 4.3- Presentation of Findings - all the data u have 4.5- discussion of findings- theoretical conclusion
