The essay should be a minimum of 1200 words to a maximum of 1400 words and should unpack situations of successful and unsuccessful communication experienced in the workplace (or other situations if have not involved in a workplace) and analyse these situations by applying the elements of communication modelling to demonstrate and evaluate this communication attempt.
An example might be as simple as failing to communicate a change of procedures in a staff or team meeting. What was the message sent? What was the message received? What caused noise and interference? Identify other elements that could have been in play? Were cultural issues in play? Was the message sent consistent with the leadership and management communication in the organisation?
Analyse why the messages succeeded or failed and what application of communication modelling did - or could have made - a difference?
Must use the Harvard Reference Guide.
