Refactor and improve existing C# project

I have a small C# project that converts one file path structure into another based on information stored in a database. This project was created for me by a developer who is no longer available. As I don't have the time to do this myself, I need someone to help me improve on the existing project. In a first step, the project should be changed to async programming as right now, it just becomes unresponsive when it starts running. If the program is stopped for any reason, the whole process has to be started from the beginning. It should therefore be improved so that it is able to continue the process instead of restarting it. Also, all actions and potentially errors should be logged to a file. Currently, this is solved with MessageBoxes. In a final step, I think it may become necessary to change this Windows Forms project into a MVVM WPF project but this can still be discussed down the road. I'm looking for a seasoned programmer who can help me with this quickly, ideally even today. Your location is not important as long as you are available and easily reachable from 9am to 7pm GMT+2. I expect you to know your way around Git and Azure Devops. You'll download the application from there and will push your changes regularly. For communication, I expect you to have one of Whatsapp, Signal or Telegram so that we can quickly and easily exchange ideas.
