I have been developing an After Effects GPU-accelerated plugin with a colleague. The plugin is a fairly advanced particle system, that works inside After Effects, complete with motion blur, camera integration, path emission, and more. Unfortunately, my colleague needs to move on to another project so I need to find someone capable of taking over.
The project has been developed with Visual Studio C++, the After Effects SDK, and associated GPU libraries. It is half-done and it compiles fine but still needs a bunch of additional features, as well as bug fixes. Currently it only works with CUDA but it will require OpenCL and Metal compatibility as it will need to be compiled for Mac as well as PC.
I am looking for an experienced GPU developer who is willing to take on the project and work with me to see it through to the end. A significant number of features are still required, along with bug fixes, and aforementioned GPU compatibility. I have a detailed list I will be able to share.
The ideal candidate is someone who is excited about computer graphics, especially particle systems, and is willing to see the project through to its end. Ideally, they would have experience with the After Effects SDK although that isn't necessary but would require a bit of a learning curve. They would have to sign an NDA before I can share the project with them.
I am interested in working with an individual ONLY, and not a company. If you represent a company, DO NOT apply for this project.
The plugin is quite exciting and I am someone who works collaboratively with people, so I am always open to suggestions from the freelancer. I am only interested in working with someone who is just as excited about computer graphics as I am.
The expected final deliverable will be the C++ project, with assistance on setting it up on my end to compile correctly, for both Mac & PC.
