Snr data analyst

o Run and review rate indications o Develop rating proposals through working with the Product team o Support premium raters, and the rating validation & testing process o Extract/review data quality and help build databases relevant to protection products o Produce state rate filings and respond to department inquiries and objections o Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to support all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting needs o Apply and improve reserving methods o Work with analytics / modeling to interpret and apply research o Assist in the development of product and pricing strategies o Work extensively with the claims team to obtain updated loss information o Build / enhance reports and assist in developing product and/or actuarial reports o Respond to various ad hoc requests and special projects as they arise What We’re Seeking: o BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area o 4+ years of experience in a related industry o A proven track record in pricing/reserving, protection products/service contract experience preferred o Proficiency in Excel required. SQL, R, or other similar programming languages preferred o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills o Strong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs and operational demands o Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with a track record of delivering on time-sensitive projects for senior stakeholders o Creative thinker with ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time effectively under tight deadlines o Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to collect, manipulate, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information to a wide range of audiences
