Stock and Derivative Transaction Database

The system will allow traders to enter stock or derivative trades (Forex, Options, Futures, etc.) into a centralized location for analysis. The system will allow traders to keep track of successful and failed trades, along with techniques used for each trade or transaction. The system will display important information from each trade, including the buy and sell price of each investment instrument, profit or loss on each trade, profit or loss for a specific time period (monthly, quarterly, or annual reports), profit or loss associated with specific trading techniques, and number of stocks or derivatives sold. Traders will enter their trade information into the system. The trade information includes items such as the instrument being traded, date the trade was placed, date the trade executed, entry price, exit price, fees associated with the transaction, and the type of trade - such as buy-to-open. Each trade will have multiple legs as there will need to be, at a minimum, an opening and a closing leg to each transaction. An additional leg might be closing half the trade (selling half the shares purchased) on one date; then the final closing trade being on a later date. The client will be able to view their trade entries in three ways: by those entered but not yet executed by the broker; by those that are open and should be monitored; and by those that are closed. Based on the closed trades the client will be analyze their trades in several ways. They will be able to view profit or loss for a month, quarter, or year with the associated rate of return. The will also be able to view the same profit/loss data for a specific trading technique, or a summary of how their techniques are doing during the time frame.
