I have done this before many times.- Although I am new at freelander, I have many expirience in implementing dataguards (previously Standby Database!) and many other Oracle works .- I will need written instructions, operating systems etc... Hello, I am a certified DBA (OCP) 11g. I know that my proposal is beyond your budget, but I can guarantee you a full implementation with good documentation. The goal is exclusively as you request (database replication with RMAN and Data Guard configuration (Broker). I assume that boxes, Oracle, network are already installed and on full operation. There are no actions for clients or tools & applications, even when services like TAF could be proposed/configured. There is no way to estimate the time that will be required to cloning the database in the standby enviroment (database size, network throughput, server processing capacity, etc.), so, the service may require small windows to do the tasks, while processes are running in background.
