Hi! I would be interested in working with you. I’ve worked as a copyeditor and proofreader for the past 15 years in an academic setting and also as a freelancer. I have experience editing popular as well as scholarly works. I received a PhD in Comparative Literature from Indiana University, and published a book based on my dissertation. I taught literature and English composition at the college level for many years. In addition to teaching, I worked as copy editor of a scholarly journal. I have read many memoirs and also read a lot about the genre, which would give me an advantage in helping you edit your book. Based on my experience teaching literature and composition, I could also advise you on strategies and techniques. I have some knowledge of the publishing field, as well.
