I'm seeking a data analyst to provide a plan on how to tackle the automation of the cleanup of the attached excel files. We have built a tool to do this internally already. However I'm looking for someone that can handle this type of work on other projects on an ongoing basis. I have attached 2 spreadsheets. The one titled [login to view URL] is a raw output report from our ERP system. The one titled FE1700 Clean is the same data, after being modified to be presented in a more useable way. The spreadsheets contain the material and labour costing information for a machine we frequently build, and we use this information to estimate the cost we will put into a machine when we are quoting a new one so that we can determine how much money we need to sell it for. The idea of this task is that you would take [login to view URL] and create a simple and repeatable method for translating this type of report into the clean file that we can actually use. The process should be automated so that a person doesn’t have to manipulate the file every time. Task Breakdown Details: 1. Describe what you understand the task is. 2. Estimate the time required and what you will need to do to complete the task. I'm looking for someone to handle other projects like this on an ongoing basis working together with our in house staff.

Hi, I have looked at the attached excel files, both the raw and cleaned versions. I understand that the raw data has the following issues: 1) Data in multiple lines (e.g. inv cost, purchase price). This needs to be converted to a single line. 2) Empty lines in the data that need to be removed. 3) Column headers need to be added as per the clean file.
