 Responsible for calculating the steel quantities before the detailing of every project  Responsible for detailing ‘shop drawings’ using Multisuite 2007, which is a US Software.  Comparing the tonnage obtained after detailing with the estimated steel quantity before and arriving at reasons as to why there is variation.  Assuring that the procurement deploys the materials required to the site, as per drawings made by our section.  Falls as part of my responsibility to calculate the tonnage materialized in terms of work detailed at the end of each month, and on completion of each project enabling us to do the budgeting co-relations.  Reviewing the drawings outsourced by Ascon, before it goes to implementation stage.  Co-coordinating with the site Engineers, to make the project proceed pecklessly.  Review of drawings, specifications and compiling quantities from the drawings.  Coordinating with the subcontractors and suppliers for getting the quotations in time.
