My name is Joe. I own property located in the southern part of Arkansas. My property has a pond that is over 100 years old. I need a geologist to do a simple oil test for exploration purposes to find out where oil is present on my property. I have seen a very thick amber colored oil residue on the entire sand surface near the pond directly after a very heavy downpour of rain so I know for a fact that there is definitely oil present on my property. I was planning on doing a simple mason jar test for hydrocarbons but not exactly sure where to go to get the analysis completed. The local geology department of a university is a good place to start but because of the many challenges of the closures of universities and many local businesses due to Covid-19, it may be quite difficult. I am planning on hiring a geologist but cannot afford very much because I am on low income on social security and am trying to find housing for my wife and my 12 year old child. The place I am living right now is way too expensive for my budget I am open to any propositions you have to offer.
