Scientific Gas Australia Design Corporate Logo This new small company requires a modern, stylish logo that will enhance corporate image to give the appearance that we are a bigger and established company. Ideally the logo will be restricted to 3 colours to keep printing costs to a minimum. (4 colours max) The logo should look good on a white background and present a professional and symbolic corporate identity that can be used for branding. There are no restrictions on colours as we don’t have any existing marketing images to co-ordinate with. The colours should enhance the perception of high quality and the design should develop the impression of accuracy and innovation. Our product is small gas cylinders and regulators, so if the logo can take the shape of a gas cylinder in any way this will be descriptive of our business. Most of the cylinders we sell are the tall slim type in Aluminium. The new product is the “green” cylinder that is fully re-usuable. We are promoting this environmentally friendly version heavily. Another angle could be to try and symbolize in the logo is the activity being performed with these gases. This activity is calibration or verification checking of the performance of gas monitoring equipment. These can either be the handheld instruments used for personal safety or the more sophisticated types of gas monitoring equipment for scientific and laboratory applications. Essentially gas detectors are calibrated by applying a gas with an exact and known proportion eg 100Parts per million of Carbon Monoxide or 19% Oxygen and then the scale on the electronic detector is adjusted so the display matches the gas being applied. The logo could be a clever way of spelling the company name artistically like google but I am not sure how classy this will look. If it is not done really well it could look bad.
