Exterior Design for Residential Single Story 60s Ranch

I am about to replace my roof, siding, windows and repair/remove a sagging front gable. My single story 60s ranch has brick facade on 2.5 sides and masonite on remaining 1.5 sides. See attached photos. I have some ideas of what I think I might like and could simply "order" contractors to execute, but I would like some professional style and coordination. Notions: 1. Keep all the brick as is. If I were to paint the brick, it would be "cream/off-white" like it is. Since it's a native, local material, I prefer to keep it. 2. Repair or remove the front gable entirely. It is a bad design, it pours water into doorway and the angles catch water. I am seriously considering removing entirely and going with a "unibrow". While it is less architecturally "interesting", I am totally OK with it and there are many unibrow houses in the neighborhood. I'm not looking to make a big splash. 3. Replace the original grey single-pane aluminum windows with anodized bronze aluminum/fiberglass windows. I like the contrast when seen on other houses in the neighborhood. 4. Remove the front shutters or replace and painted some nice contrasting color or material. 5. End gables: Use board-and-batten to fill in the triangles under them. Trim/batten in the same cream color as in the eves. Board painted some nice complementary/slightly contrasting color. In the pale greens/browns or whatever colors match the cream and brick tones? 6. Use board-and-batten on the back wall at ground level. Same cream battens and complementary painted boards same as end gables. 7. Use wide plank lap siding on the side wall at ground level up to 8 ft. in the cream color. 8. Roof shingles in a grey (like OC Estate Grey) or grey-brown color (like OC Teak). Not a fan of the current Desert Tan, but not opposed to it if it's the best tone with the brick. 9. Leaning towards cream fascia and eves vs. the current "amber gold". 10. At one point I pieced together dark grey roof shingles, brown drip-edge and natural cedar for fascia. Along with all the cream brick/siding - see attached. 11. Front small window is losing the cross strips and replaced with frosted picture window (it's a shower).
