I have a client that is transitioning from a Wordpress based site to a new wordpress based site. We are concerned about SEO degradation. I am looking to hire someone to represent my agency and help the web developers incorporate SEO best practices into the new site. So for instance: - How to deal with re-directs? Should a word press plug-in be used? If so, which is best? - How to determine what URL's need a redirect? - The current Wordpress site uses Yoast. Is it possible to transition the custom meta tags to the new site? Just to be clear, the new website is already built. They plan to go live on 12/15. I just need some technical help in helping them maintain their SEO. I am their SEO agency and we focus on quality content generation and have made large improvements with SEO and I want to help them protect their ranking. I warned them that rankings will go down slightly. So for this project I need: - Advice on how to best transition from one Wordpress site to another with minimal impact to SEO. - Best way to handle the redirect strategy with very concrete specifics. If I end up having to do this portion, I could hire you to do this part as well. - Provide email support to answer questions from now until the site is launched. I only expect 3-4 email questions assuming the initial advice is good and easy to follow. After this project, I am also open to hiring an outsourced SEO person for my growing agency.
