My name is Davide, and I’m a native Italian speaker with a very good level of English knowledge, now attending a master in Historical Sciences. I’m very interested in this work opportunity and can't wait to test myself. I have worked as a translator since graduating from high school in 2005. After that, during university studies--where I achieved C1 level of English knowledge and a bachelor degree in history and musicology--I translated various kinds of texts, both during an apprenticeship in the archive of national museum of antiquity of Parma, where I led British and American tourists through the collections, and during the writing of my graduation thesis, which involved translating texts with scientific contents: archaeological, linguistic, chemical, and epigraphical. I have continuous contact with native English speakers and English literature. I spend various hours of my day practicing written and spoken knowledge of English and consistently improve my translation skills. I also spent six months in the United States to improve my speaking skills as well. I can readily translate approximately 30-50 words/minute, depending on the content, and I’m flexible in negotiating the salary, typically earning no less than 10 euros per hour. I am available to do any kind of sample translation.
