ASP.NET Grid View with filter not functioning correctly

The filter on the grid on the columns on this site are not functioning correctly. Each filter has to work independently of the others. Also the filter on the column must be removed when the clear filter icon is clicked. It must only remove the filter on the column that has been selected. The “Select All” tick-box which selects and unselects the tick-boxes below it must be retained. When “Date” or “Batch Total” is selected from the columns the script returning them is very slow. I want this to return the values much faster. There is a Word doc in the zip file attached ([login to view URL]) called "Description of [login to view URL]" which explains the issues. The zip file also includes the project solution file and the database script.
