iOS augmented reality project

This is an augmented reality project for iOS only. See details for greater information. ## Deliverables Overview: This program with serve to promote trade show booth attendance. Physicians who come to the client booth will be given a code number to download a 3D model app from the iTunes store. The app is to be used an a patient teaching tool and will allow physicians to spin the model around, turn layers off/on etc. A print campaign will invite physicians and inform them of the free app offer. The intention of the AR is to serve as a "carrot" and show the physicians a limited version of what they could get with that. So physicians would hold up a postcard, or a tear off portion of the mailer, to their webcam and see the model in their hand. By "limited version" I was thinking that 3D model could spin, or partially rotate with the hand movement, but that's about it. It's a high-impact, whiz bang technology, but it's only to help incentivize physicians to visit the booth and get the full app. An example of what we were looking at would be: <[login to view URL]> - What format(s) would/could the 3D heart be delivered to us in? I'll have to ask the company that is providing the 3D model. Are there any formats that are preferred? - What other options will the user have regarding the 3D heart? (size, color, shape, etc.) None of the listed options, but they should be able to rotate the model somehow. - Should the user be able to take a photo of the heart over the postcard? If so, should there be sharing options with the photo? A sharing option would be nice, but it's not a requirement. Could it be priced as an option? - Does the heart only show when the app is looking at the postcard? Yes - What is the point of the app? (I understand the basic requirements, but trying to get a better idea why someone would want an app that shows a heart over a postcard) ---- Additional info if helpful Here's the response from the client about open source AR: I found the following by checking out the AR wiki and asking a few contacts.
