Hello! I am interested in making a Java program that will retrieve Yahoo! Finance information about various stocks, including their historical quotes. I have actually made a program that does this for my mom maybe a year ago, so I am already somewhat familiar with Yahoo! Finance's CSVs and how to get them. Java is my main language, so programming with it won't be any issue. Using databases will be new to me, however, so I will have to learn how to set one up and use it. That shouldn't be a problem, though, because I do know a little SQL. I'll just have to learn how to set up a database and integrate it into Java. For the program's GUI (Graphical User Interface), I will use Java Swing. It's built-in to Java, and I have used it many times for many projects. Hope to hear from you soon.
