Hello, I have almost 5 years experience with EDI software. However, building EDI software is not an easy task. Realistically, it would take me 2 weeks for the inbound 940 and another 2 weeks for the outbound 945. I would write it in Java: it will have 2 options: to pick up some files from a folder (the 940) and map them to the database; and to run a query and create the 945 and place it into a folder. I have experience in data conversions/data aquisitions, which: Oracle DB tables to XML, Oracle DB tables to SWIFT, CSV files to Oracle DB tables. I think your converter should be in PL/SQL using UTL_FILE.
