Modify Compute Module 4 iO Board I would like to change the Compute Module 4 io board to suit my project . Design must be done in Kikad 6 ( nightly build required as described Here: [login to view URL]) Designfiles can be found here : [login to view URL] [login to view URL] Delete the following parts from the current design : • GPIO Header • Remove 2nd DSI connector • Remove 2nd HDMI connector • Remove SD Card reader • Remove both Camera connectors • Remove GPIO Header • Remove PCI Express • Remove POE Header • Power Supply Barrel Jack Add the following to the board : • Main Breakout Connector 34 Way Connector (Amp Superseal 2-6447232-3) • 2 CAN bus Modules (Adapt the schematic from the PI Hat in the files to suit the Pi4 Compute module ) CAN High and Low for both modules should be broken out to the main connector described below The jumpers (J1 and J2 ) to set the 120 Ohm resistor active should be each broken out to the main 34 pin connector so they can be set by bridging 2 pins on the main 34 pin connector • Add a connector on the board to directly plugin this Neo M8N GPS board ( GND 3.3V RX Tx) • Add a 8 Channel ADC (MCP 3008) so I can read in Analog Voltages 0-5V ( Break out the inputs to 34 pin main connector ) Also add overvoltage protection for the inputs • Add a circuit so I can read in 6 digital inputs ( Based of 12 V 12v on 0v off add overvolt protection ) ( Break out the inputs to 34 pin main connector and ) • Modify the Power supply circuit in the following manner : Input comes from a 12 V Car battery (Permanent 12 V and Switched 12 v via ignition coming from 34 Pin main connector ) There needs to be a voltage stabilisation to prevent having Power Cuts when the voltage drops during cranking of the Engine. Have 2x 12 V inputs . One is permanent 12 V the other one is a switched input from the Ignition . The Board should be powerd via the permanent 12 V but only when ignition is on . When there are 12 v on the ignition wire a GPIO pin should be set to high and power should be supplied via the Permanent 12 V input . When the ignition wire is off . the GPIO should go to low and the 12 V Power from the permanent 12 V should be cut with a 10 seconds time delay ( this way I can monitor the GPIO state via software and trigger a safe shutdown to prevent file system corruption ) • Add 4 connectors on the board connected to 4 GPIO pins ( 2 pin connectors with the other pin connected to 3.3V so I can connect some switches to those connectors to switch pins to switch GPIO to while pressing ) Add one big central 34 pin Connector with the following inputs outputs Connector Type : Amp Superseal 2-6447232-3 : • 12 V Switched input ( 12 V from ignition ) • 12 V Permanent input (12V from Car battery) • 1x Main Ground • CAN 1 High • CAN 1 Low • CAN 2 High • CAN 2 Low • 2 pins that can be bridged to close the connection of the 120 Ohm Termination ResistorCAN1 • 2 pins that can be bridged to close the connection of the 120 Ohm Termination ResistorCAN2 • 12 V Switched input ( 12 V from ignition ) • 12 V Permanent input (12V from Car battery) • 1x Ground • 8x Analog 0-5V inputs ( with some protection in case 12 V is accidentally applied ) • 1 communal ground for Analog inputs • 6x Digital inputs ( 12 V inputs that can set the 6 differen GPIO’s to high (need to be converted to 3.3 V) • 1 x SDL out • 1x SDA out • 1 x 5V out • 1x Ground out
