81244 PERL Image Size Retrieval Func

I need a PERL function that, when passed a URL that is linked to an image, returns the image width & height. I would prefer that no CPAN or 3rd party modules be required, with the possible exception of LWP. Please tell me, in your bid, if any 3rd party or CPAN modules will be required. I know that this is a slam-dunk in PHP, but I need it in PERL, so please, no PHP bids. See the attached file for a prototype of what I am looking for. Please indicate in your bid that you viewed the prototype as I will discard all "automated bids".
