I have a website with php and mysql on the back end (LAMP). In one of my tables, I have columns state, zipcode, latitude, longitude, total savings. I'd like you to create a map of the United States (Continental only is fine) where there is one icon per state (where data exists), you can see the state boundaries, and this icon displays the sum of total savings for that state (preferably when you hover). The icon should be located at the center of each state with data, and you can find coordinates here: [login to view URL] . I can store these in my database. When somebody clicks on the state (or icon), the map needs to drill down to show a map of the state. It should appear with a single icon for each zipcode in the database, that appears where the zipcode (latitude/longitude) is; the icon should display the zipcode, number of records and sum of total savings for each zipcode (preferably when you hover). There should be a way to reset the map to the original size and scale. That is as granular as the data should get, and that will solve the problem of too many data points in any one zip code. I want to use a piggy bank as my icon. Here's a nice image, we may need to change it just a bit to make it work: [login to view URL]
## Deliverables
I think that this about covers it. Feel free to ask any questions whatsoever. Tx, George
