lite Java application to view documents and ping server

Hello, Firstly I may be interested in payment more if that's necessary for this very thin client. I am in search of a Java client that can be loaded on a flash drive and quickly install and run on most machines and perform the simple functions of: 1. Open and read a document such as .pdf 2. Talk to my server when the document is opened (just ping the address). I need for this to run on most machines without complicated installs, I would like for the Java engine install to be quick if possible (this should be a very thin client which I want). I will do all the server work, I just need this thin java client to load the pdf as (I think) pdf is a pretty universal document type.
