I am looking for someone experienced enough to modify pfSense to allow for this kind of activity.
Proxy ARP -- this would allow a person to connect to my network and be able to use the internet even though his laptop would be statically assigned with a IP - no matter what the IP is.
Static Proxy -- this would allow a person to connect to my network and be able to use the internet even though his laptop is configured for a specific proxy server & port.
Modification of the GUI of pfSense to remove all unused functions for client deployments. What would be nice is two logins -- one as admin one as user so the user don't get lost in all the other configuration options.
Addition of a feature in pfSense that allows the management of IP devices locally onsite by creating entries that would serve several purposes - this way I could easily manage other devices on my network instead of creating NAT forwarding rules --
1) Inventory - this just show the list of devices - ports used - mac address - status (if it is pingable)
2) Port Forwarding - by adding the device to the management interface it would create the necessary port forwarding rules to access the device outside the LAN
3) Static DHCP Assignment - by adding the device to the management interface it would add the necessary dhcp assignments so that a IP address can be given to the device by mac
Lastly the removal of all pfSense branding -- to put in my own.
I am open to using other platforms if they will work and install on embedded device boards. But this other platform needs to support traffic shaping.
