VBA Outlook - Mail Update Program

I already have a VB application that allows a user to create an e-mail off the back of a customer record, by creating an instance of the Outlook application and using [login to view URL] to present the user with a mail message with most of the properties filled in. The problem is I cant tell when (if at all) the user actually sends it (unless I display the OutlookMessage as modal which prevents the user from doing much else). What I need is a VBA app/Macro to be attached to Outlook that uses a code in the mail message (put there by the VB app) to open, locate, and update a record in an MS Access database when the Mail message is sent. I am sure that this is fairly simple, but I am not sure which Libraries are required for the data access, and how to ship this 'plug in' to sites that already have Outlook. ## Deliverables Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
