Urgent Help Needed: Wordpress Hacking Fix and Upgrade Needed for Large, Complex Website

Our client uses Wordpress as a CMS, with **many** custom plugins and a completely custom theme. Their site was hacked. We will share the URL and login information with qualified bidders. We need to upgrade Wordpress on this website and fix the security problem. The hosting company, Hostgator, has said they removed the infected files, but some users are still seeing a security warning when they visit the website. One or more of the files that the hosting company removed has caused at least one custom plugin to break. We will need to restore those files and fix the security holes that allowed the hacking. We should have a backup that contains an uninfected version of the file and you can pull the files from that backup. You can work with Hostgator's chat tech support to accomplish this task. Here are the requirements for this project: 1. You must back up the existing website and download the complete backup before beginning the project. There is a backup function on the Cpanel through Hostgator that we would like you to use, but feel free to also use PHPMyAdmin to pull backups as well. 2. We would prefer that you do the work on your own server and then load it on the client's hosting package. 3. The Wordpress software must be upgraded to the latest version. 4. The security holes in the hacked plugins must be fixed. 5. We would like your advice to prevent hacking in the future. 6. This is a third-party project. We are your client.
