Maths script -- Part 1

I need a maths script developed. Make responsive PHP please. Overview: Start with a random INTEGER X. If X is EVEN divide by 2 if X is ODD then Multiply by 3, then add 1 then divide by 2 so for X even X maps to X/2 and for X odd X maps to (3X+1) / 2 Part 2: we now need to compute 2 numbers. 1. the STOPTIME 2. the CONVERGENCE TIME 1. the stoptime is the LEAST number of computations (iterations) required to reach an INTEGER less than X. 2. the CONVERGENCE TIME is the LEAST number of computations (iterations) required to reach 1. Example: suppose X = 3 then applying the map rules we get 3 > (3.3 +1)/2 = 5 5 > (3.5 +1)/2 = 8 8 > (8/2) = 4 4 > (4/2) = 2 2 > (2/2) = 1 so the sequence generated (the trajectory) is 3 > 5 > 8 > 4 > 2 > 1 so the STOPTIME for X = 3 is 4, since it takes 4 computations for the output to first reach a number less than 3. Note: its not 5 since 5 is not the lowest number of iterations. its the least number of iterations to reach the target. The CONVERGENCE TIME is 5 as it takes 5 iterations for X = 3 to reach 1. Note: its the least number of iterations to reach the target. REQUIREMENTS ----------------------------- i want 3 boxes and we enter FIRST VALUE of X and last value of X and increment e.g 2 and 4 and 1 first value = 2 last value = 4 increment = 1 Note: if increment was 2 we would ignore 3 and compute for 2 and 4 only. it will then return output with X, STOPTIME, CONVERGENCE TIME e.g 2 - 1 - 1 3 - 4 - 5 4 - 1 - 2 Note: every EVEN number has stop time = 1, obviously since X/2 < X for any X even. Output will be on screen and can export to csv for use in excel. THERE IS OTHER REQUIREMENTS needed in this job so please do this correctly no time wasters
