Hello Tony, As you rightly mentioned, a quotation system like yours could be created in different ways. It could be through Excel spreadsheet, or through a combination of spreadsheet and database, a desktop based application or a web based application in the increasing order of sophistication (and hence price). I have already created quote systems of all types mentioned above for different businesses. Unless your sales team does not travel a lot and does not need access to such system remotely, I would recommend not going for the web based system for now. If you have a 'intranet' kind of setup i.e. a shared folder which they all may access, I would recommend an Excel (front-end) + Access (back-end) system. This way you would be able to control the component prices at a central location and everyone will access the same. If that is not possible, you may go for plain vanilla spreadsheet based quotation system. If you could share more details of your requirement, I would be able to help you in creating the most effective system for your purpose.
