Write a Report

-- The final report should probably be 3-5 pages in length and it must include the following items (please read this carefully, different items are required for a research paper review versus a project):\r\n\r\nIntroduction\r\n\r\no Provide an introduction to the topic of your project/research paper.\r\no Provide background information about the main concepts of your project/research paper.\r\n--This will include background about testing concepts as well as the application \r\nwhich your project/research paper examines\r\no Explain the importance (related to VLSI testing) of your project/research paper and how it complements what we have discussed in class.\r\n\r\nBody\r\n\r\no For a project:\r\n-- Summarize each step of your procedure in completing your project (e.g. What was the design process for your project?, What revisions to your design had to \r\nbe made?, What difficulties did you discover during verification/testing?, etc.)\r\no Provide enough detail that someone with a general understanding of your project\'s topic and the tools that you decided to use \r\n(e.g. VHDL, Xilinx Vivado, etc.) would be able to easily understand your \r\nproject.\r\n-- Explain your actual schedule of work and compare this to your proposed schedule of work (from your proposal). Explain any major deviations.\r\no For a research paper review:\r\n--Explain (in your own words) the most important points from the paper and for \r\neach point explain:\r\no Why is this particular point important?\r\no How do the author(s) support this point? (What \r\ninformation/explanation/data is provided?)\r\no Do you feel that the author(s) adequately supports this point? Please explain why/why not.\r\no Explain any concerns or questions that you have about this \r\npoint/concept.\r\n\r\nConclusion\r\n\r\no For a project:\r\n--Explain the results of your project (figures would aid the description of your \r\nresults). Were you able to successfully complete your project? Did you project work as anticipated?\r\n--If you were to redo your project, what changes would you make? Please explain (if you would not make any changes, please explain why no changes are needed)\r\n--Explain what you expected to learn/observe about your topic and what you actually learned/observed about your topic.\r\n--Explain any additional questions that you have about your topic?\r\n--In your opinion, was this a successful project? Would you recommend it to \r\nsomeone interested in learning more about your topic? Please explain your \r\nanswers.\r\n\r\no For a research paper review:\r\n--Explain what you expected to learn about your topic and what you actually learned about your topic.\r\n--Explain any additional concerns or questions that you have about your topic and/or about your paper\r\n--In your opinion, is this a good paper? Would you recommend it to someone interested in learning more about your topic? Please explain your answers.\r\n\r\nProvide your citations/references\r\no Cite the sources for any information used in your final report (e.g. research papers, \r\ntextbooks, websites, etc.)\r\no You may use any formal citation method (ACM, IEEE, MLA, etc.) in your reference section.
