PHP code to create Google map showing start, finish, route and waypoints

I have created a website that will, given an origin and destination, retrieve from Google maps (directions API) the distance and encoded path polyline. From the polyline I create an 2-D shape which I use to find if some of the locations (with latitude and longitude) stored in a MySQL DB are within a certain distance of the proposed route (within the 2-D shape created). All that works well. Problem is that Goggle requires to show a map in order to permit the usage of their API. In order to comply I would like to create a <div> in my result page in which I show a Google map with a red pin for the origin and destination, the route as a red line and max. 20 waypoints I retrieved from my data base as green pins. (Note: Unlimited waypoints would be a plus). This project is for the PHP code required to fill above mentioned <div> with the described map. Integration of the code will be done by myself. I prefer a pure PHP solution as I use Ajax to load the result into the page and triggering any embedded Javascript is always a problem. I also prefer to stay away from a JQuery solution unless there is a good reason for that.
