I would replace the wood with aluminum which is light and won't hurt the children. I would also replace the bands holding it down with a suspension mechanism. The foam pads look feasible and I would keep those.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have read through your project statement and would like to forward my interest as an internationally experienced industrial design engineer. I would love to learn more about your thoughts and enter a discussion to bring this unique product with serious intentions and purpose for prototyping and market level through Solidworks production files, effectively resolving all issues based upon, but not limited to dimensions, ergonomics, point of difference, material and essentially a successful product that will exceed market and consumer expectations. I am extremely passionate and intrigued by this project proposal, offering a unique and great challenge within indsutrial design focussing on the user, materials and production. I have strong abilities with conceptualisation and presentation based sketches/graphics, problem solving, consideration of the user/s, in addition to a sound understanding of material options and manufacture. This includes the use of appropriate computer software, including the internationally recognised and standardised Adobe suite, Rhino3D and Solidworks, for professional representation, model visuals, prototyping and production. I work as a mechanical engineer and most of the work i do is to find and create better appearances for existing products, remaining their basic function, so i find this project quite challenging and i think i am up for the task. thanks
